AS SEEN ON THE GREAT SOUTH EAST! - 'Moreton Bay Sailing – A great family day out or weekend away!'

Sailing is much more affordable and easy to get involved in than you might think, and not only for the ‘well-to-do’ sporting and racing sailing fraternity!  Our Great South East segment showed one of the many easy ways to enjoy sailing and the beautiful Moreton Bay – even if you have never sailed!

Bareboating (or selfsail) is where with a little experience, you can hire your own vessel ‘bare’ and be the captain of your own floating hotel! Just bring along your personal items, food and drinks and enjoy a unique day out or holiday experience that will make your friends and colleagues jealous!

If you are an experience sailor, then there is nothing to stop you getting away straight away, but for the newer sailor there are options!

A Skipper can taking responsibility for the vessel - sailing and navigating while you enjoy the sun, beaches and BBQ, OR act as a sailguide and let you 'command the vessel’ and act as a watchful eye - giving you the confidence that you have help right at hand if you need it!

To get even more involved, sail-training is a great family learning and team bonding and experience, and will give you and your crew the confidence to be well prepared for a longer Moreton Bay, or even Whitsundays sailing holiday – with the independence of being in command!

With such great sailing destinations so close to home, we Aussies forget that people travel around the world to sail in the Queensland coast, it s up there with the Caribbean or Mediterranean!
