Laura J ideally accommodates up to 6 guests in three staterooms. Guests will enjoy luxurious and meticulously designed quarters to provide comfort and privacy. The master stateroom is well appointed and spacious, with a queen sized bed, walk in wardrobe, private ensuite and spa bath. Two guest state rooms - one with queen sized bed, one with double bed, and each have their own ensuite. For your convenience, each state room has separate air-conditioning controls to adjust to your individual requirements.

Laura J specializes in every aspect of charters from a four hour pleasure cruise on the majestic Broadwater with finger food or seafood buffet to a few days to a week of total relaxation and decadence. Your skipper can map your destination day by day. No matter which charter your choose, our professional crew will ensure your experience on will be one to be remembered.

CRUISING
There is over 1200 miles of Great Barrier Reef and the Northern area is by far the most remote and pristine. Your itinerary can be designed to begin at Port Douglas and end at a point of air access, to meet up with your international connections. This provides greater ease to transfer from remote areas and the elimination of retracing your journey.

There are many alternatives to choose from: for the adventurous, you can explore uninhabited coral cays and islands, sparkling beaches and sand cays, or mainland historical sites and Aboriginal caves. Relax on a deck chair, while a beach BBQ of fresh seafood or Australian beef is prepared for you in idyllic surroundings. If the isolation is not for you then the facilities of some of the island resorts are available for your enjoyment. Other specialised activities including 4WD Rainforest Ecotours or an Aboriginal culture guided tour can be arranged to fit in with your charter.

DIVING & SNORKELLING
A fully qualified professional Dive Instructor with many years experience and local knowledge will take you to magnificent dive locations. Whether it is your first tentative dive off a safe sandy beach on Lizard Island or something more adventurous, a pinnacle or a drop-off wall dive with the wide variety of corals and myriads of fishlife, it is and experience you will remember forever.

Laura J is fully equipped with a dive compressor and all diving gear necessary to ensure your enjoyment. For your safety, divers are accompanied with at least one guide.

Snorkelling is an excellent way to view some of the most colourful corals and marine life in shallower waters. A relaxing way to cool down, it is also the easiest way to observe the marine environment and the inter-relationship that exists in this spectacular underwater world. Qualified crew will be happy to take you on a marine eco-tour and point out some of the more intriguing marine characters that a newcomer to the environment may overlook. Experience and fully trained crew will have even the first time snorkeller feeling confident in the water, after a short time.

FISHING
Laura J can provide light game, estuary and bottom fishing with all tackle supplied. Because of the remoteness of the northern section of the Great Barrier Reef, the area provides some of the best fishing available in Australia. Species such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor and Sweet Lip are abundant and are excellent table fish. There is nothing more satisfying than catching your own fish and having the chef prepare it for you in your preferred way.

The isolation of the rivers of Cape York Peninsula provide excellent fishing for many species, including the course of the widely known Barramundi.

We are also able to arrange a game fishing vessel for you to experience the thrill of heavy tackle Black Marlin fishing.
