Charter Fees include:

Vessel Charter Fee: Calculated on a nightly basis – easy!

National Parks Fees: Your quote includes these fees as levied by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA), payable per person and per entry to the national park.  This can be between $24 and $27 per person.

Fuel Charge: calculated in one of 3 ways:

  1. Usage basis:   Most Operators in the Whitsundays charge on this basis.  They will send you out full, and refuel the vessel on your return while you are at the pump.  Fuel is therefore only what you use.

  2. Flat fee:  No matter what you use, as a ‘step on, step off’ service.  The amount charged is very reasonable as an all up cost.  Saves you time when you return your vessel as you aren’t required to wait for refuelling.

  3. Motoring engine hours:  an amount charged by the time you run the engines.  It is covers all costs of motoring, including maintenance etc.  This can have a large affect on cost, and doesn’t allow for slow efficient motoring for gentle relocation, or for slow trolling (fishing).

Optional Extras:

Damage Waiver/Damage Waiver Insurance: calculated per charter, or by the night, depending on the vessel value.  Damage waiver is mostly optional (sometimes compulsory).  This insurance reduces the insurance excess and are sometimes referred to as ‘non-refundable’.  Click here for more information on insurances.

Sleepaboard:

If required.  Charged as a flat fee from $250 per vessel per night, or 50% of the normal nightly charter fee.

Delivery:

To Hamilton Island, Airlie Beach or Hayman island can be arranged for an additional fee – selected operators provide this for free!
